Healing Codependence
The process of recovery from codependency can be truly awesome. Its symptoms bring us to the experience of deep humility, openness, and willingness.I have had the incredible fortune to witness people's suffering be transformed. I know this change is possible for everyone.
For many, the healing of codependency is the start of an authentic relationship with oneself. We work together to create a space for grieving. It is held in safety and in respect. Allowing the sadness, while learning and growing within the therapeutic connection, greatly reduces of the effects of the family disease of addiction on our peace of mind.
I strive to help individuals utilize the pain of codependence as the road map that guides the work. This is the road to oneself. This road is one of deep surrender and forgiveness. When we grieve and grow, we see clearly how addiction and codependency impacts us, which brings choice and freedom to the challenges of everyday living.
There is help and hope.
People suffering from co-dependency often exhibit some or all of the following:

Dependence on at least one relationship, which they will do anything to keep

Need to control others
Difficulty in making decisions

Chronic feelings of anger and/or difficulty expressing it
